We Move

One would be wondering where are we moving to?

The youths are moving Nigeria in a right path where justice is not for some selected few as put forth in the novel Animal farm by George Orwell where some animals were more equal than some.

The protest started with #EndSars but the term sars now represents a whole lot to include but not limited to end police brutality, end inequality, a cry for a functional system of government, accountability, upgrade of our academic curriculum, increase in salary civil and public servant, set up standard medical facilities with upto date clinical gadgets…cut down of unjustified excess salary of a selected class of elite

The cry of Nigerian youths is simply asking that a reform be carried out to affect all sectors. Where citizens would be treated as one.  Where they will be able to speak out and their request will be heard and attended to.

The Nigerian youth who are the leaders of tomorrow has suffered immersly and had never been taken seriously.

One of the best things that happened to the Nigerian youths was the advent of modern technology in the name of phones which made the world a small global village where messages travelled far and wide in split seconds.

The use of the phone helped in the exposure of the ills in different part of the country, It became the initial tool for campaigns against bad governance before the outbreak of protest where just like the ants in scripture having no leader but organised itself in season, the Nigerian youths came up with a well structured protest on the streets of different states within and outside Nigeria.

The protest have been ongoing for days which has been like thorns to some people but have presented itself as a blessing to many others.  It has given hope to the future of other Nigerians.  It has shown that the force of unity in love is stronger than physical weapons.

The protesters buried tribalism, religious and ethnic difference…, and has shown that one voice with a vision is for a better Nigeria They cry out; Our lives matter 5/5, We move, Sòró Soke (Proverbs 31:8-9).

It’s no longer things fall apart with this protest, by the day it unveils no retreat no surrender, in rain and sun shine, whether wounded or not, speak out, we move.

Where do you you think we are moving to?
