RAPE

The statistics of rape cases globally are on a very high increase despite the punishment for the offence provided by the law of the states and countries.
Victim of rape suffer trauma throughout their life time for act less. The traumatic experience that impact on these victims are physical, psychological and sociological.
Most victim of rape are more of woman and girls however there has been reports of few cases of young boys recently.
Most victim of rape do not acknowledge they were raped timely for fear of stigmatication and this frustrates the pursuit of justice as there is loss of vital proofs (The necessary ingredience) to sustain conviction upon judgment in court.

Believer’s Victory Part 1

BELIEVER’S VICTORY

             

Sin and sickness was not the original plan of God when he created man in the Garden of Eden. Sin came as a result of the Adamic fall in the first Adam as seen in Gen 3,  but even at that, God made provision for a second Adam to rectify the broken order in Gen 3:15(Amp). 
“And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring, He will bruise and creed your head underfoot, and you will lie in wait and bruise His heal”.

In confirmation of this scripture, Gal 4:4­5 elaborately gave details; 
“But when the proper time HAD FULLY come, God sent his son, born of a woman, born subject to (the regulations of) the law, to purchase the freedom of those who where subjected to the law, that we might be adopted and have sonship conferred upon us”

God granted believers victory by demonstrating his unconditional love on the cross through his son Jesus, that while we were yet sinners, Jesus died.

The process started when He left his throne and was conceived by a virgin; this account can be found in Matthew 1:18 (Amp).
“Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place under these circumstances his mother Mary has been promised in marriage to Joseph before they came together she was found pregnant (through the power of the Holy Spirit” 

His birthing took place in a manger where lambs where kept to replace the former mode or remission of sin.

When he grew up, He was tempted by Satan himself in Matthew 4:1­1. He identified his purpose in the scripture Luke 4:17-19 and went about doing good. In the last phase of his life on earth, he was betrayed by his treasurer with a kiss (someone very close to him) in Matthew 26:49. He who had no sin was accused and hung in the middle of two robbers to make us righteous, 1 Peter. 2:22­-24; Isaiah 53:9, Matthew 27:51:9, Matt 27:57:60. He overcame death after three days and ascended into heaven Acts 1:9­11.

He took care of death? Does it include Sin and Satan?

Not Jungle Justice

When a crime is committed, there is a due process that ought to be followed which are laid down by the laws governing any land.

A report is made to the police, investigation is carried out, arrest is made, the accused or defendant is arraigned before a court with jurisdiction to try the case, the accused or defendant applies for his/her bail, where it is a bailable offence, he/she is bailed pending the determination of the charge against him.

Where it is not bailable, he/she is put in the correctional facility till the case is determined. 

At the end of the proceedings, judgment is given by the sitting judge and the befitting sentence is ordered.

What we saw in George Floyd’s case was jungle justice, it was uniformed men taking the laws into their hand, they became the judge in their created court and abridged the process in a barbaric way. 

If they followed due process, George Floyd will be amongst the living today, justice would be seen to have been done.  Protest would not have arisen.

Though Justice may seem to take a slow lane, but at the end its better than any other short cut.

Let’s desist from jungle justice.

Fear of Being Tagged Covid 19 Patients

The dread of being tagged a covid 19 patient has done more havoc in the world today.

A young man was in tears the other day after the death of his sister.  His sister who had fever; slight temperature and flu refused to go to a clinic for proper medical attention her body condition degenerated and led to her death. 

The words of the young man in tears said …I told her to go to the clinic she refused…

Another sad one is when one gets to the gate of any clinic, your temperature will be checked.  The question now is what happens if the person has a temperature, will the person be returned at the gate?  Patients with body temperature where are they to go for treatment? Is there a new centre for patients with temperature? Or has everyone with body temperature now automatic covid 19 patient.

Success In the Legal Profession

As Christian lawyers, we must understand that God’s plan for us is to succeed.
Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
Also God expressed this further in 3 John 1:2 (Amp.)
“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and (that your body) may keep well, even as (I Know) your soul keeps well and prosper.”
Success in the legal profession or in any aspect of our lives is an accomplishment of an assignment, it is the product of a discovery, it is not a destination, it is  continuous and it is a favourable outcome of ones aim.
From creation, man was built for success that is why in us we crave to be successful.
Genesis 1:28
“And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”
In this legal profession, our success do not just happen by chance.  If we must succeed, we must take responsibility to make it happen.
For us to succeed, one thing is very vital; that is vision.  Vision is the blue print of where one is heading to as a Lawyer. 
Habakkuk 2:2
“And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.”
Lack of vision leads to frustration and little or no achievement
Hosea 4:6
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.”
Faith is the force that transfer vision on paper to reality.  Faith helps you see your glorious end from where you are standing thereby keeping hope alive.  More so, Faith is now Hebrew 11:1 
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
Faith does not give room for procrastination and faith is the way to obtain good reports.
On the road to success, there is the place of hard work.
Proverbs 14:23
“In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury.”
Let us learn to do more work and less talk, understanding the times and seasons by learning the WAY OF THE ANT
Proverbs 6:6-8
“Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:
[7]Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,
[8]Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.”
THE WAY OF THE ANT (lessons)
1. The ant has season for working and resting. if we rest when we ought to work as Lawyers, it will badly reflect in our practice. If you are given a task or you undertake to do a job, do it with all your heart.  The ant is very disciplined with timing that is why you don’t see them through out the year. 
1 Chronicles 12:32
“And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.”
2. The ant do not joke with salutation, they respect one another.  When an ant meets another on the way, they touch one another before proceeding on their journey. This speaks volumes. they don’t despise, they value their relationship.  
In our legal profession we will go far if we start by greeting that will progress over time to even partnership.
3. The ant relies on other ants in execution of a task, they are not lone rangers. If one ant finds food, it means every other ant has seen food, you see them in a line carrying the food. Don’t be scare to share ideas with other Lawyers.
4. The ant never leaves an injured ant behind, Let’s earn to lift one another.
5. Ants are strong, diligent.  We must exhibit strength in every task given to you as lawyers.  It is diligence that creates mastery and attract wealth
Proverbs 10:4
“He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.”
6. Ants thrives in challenging conditions. If we exhibit strength and skill as Lawyer people will have confidence in us. People who exhibit strength and skill are always in demand and admired, they don’t take a back seat to anyone.
Remember success is a journey, it is not a destination. I see you successful in this legal profession in Jesus name. Amen.

Life Uncertainties

When we crossed over from 2019 into the new year 2020, I saw the joy and excitement in everyone. Most people had drawn out plans, set achievements in anticipation of what the new year holds.

No one ever anticipated a covid-19, stay safe, business shut down, no schools, Church closure, lockdown and post lockdown effect on the economy.
Even with the partial lockdown, no one envisaged that it will not be business as usual. Every sector of the economy both private and public are struggling to gain a balance.
In all these are the uncertainties of life.

Why Knowledge Base Documentation Needs FreshnessKnowledge is defined as facts, information, and skill acquired through experience or education. it is an understanding of someone or something. the purpose of knowledge is to make advancement, it makes us think, analyze, and builds your opinion.

Knowledge infuses confidence and puts one in control.  it is acquired through diligent study, most time you expend money to acquire knowledge as it is learned.

To acquire knowledge, one must be disposed to read books, continually make research, especially in this era. 

I remember when I went to computer school in 1997, Corel draw just came on board, we used  PowerPoint for graphical work and it was on windows version 3.1 operating system. If I did not move with the trend, devoting time to develop myself, I will be lost today.

Lets never get tired to acquire knowledge, keep trying till you become an authority. it pays to be knowledgeable.

knowledge is key that gives power.

Self Motivation

This is an inner driving force that keeps pushing you to achieve your goal.
It is a strong positive force that puts you on the cutting edge of knowledge in your field of study or business or endeavour.  
It is the force that keeps you looking ahead despite the difficulties you encounter along the way to your goal.
It pulls and pushes you, it could sometimes intoxicate you and blindfolds you to everything else except what you desire. 
Self motivation is vital in our pursuit for excellence.

Nothing is against you

As beautiful as life is with lots of good things in store for us, a lot of us are stuck in lies, majority are living their lives based on a lie that someone, somewhere, somehow is against them.
For those who have not accepted Christ, this could be their predicament but for us believers of Jesus Romans 8:31 says
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
Who can be our foe, if God is on our side? Psalms 118:6
The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?
Who should we fear? The scripture is very clear as to who we should fear in Matthew 10:28
And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Again we are admonished from the Holy scriptures to rather be afraid of him who can destroy both soul and body in hell in Luke 12:5
But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.
If God has said fear thou not for I am with thee, be not dismayed for I am the Lord your God, I will strengthen thee, ye I will uphold thee with my right hand of righteousness.
What better assurance do you seek after, what more do you want? God has said He will lead you in the paths of righteousness (meaning its no longer by works) for his name sake, even when you walk through the valley of shadow of death (Season of turbulent times), you shall not fear, his rod (Gods Word) and staff (Gods Authority) will comfort you…
Let’s learn to hold on to God’s word over all situation and circumstances we find ourselves, let Gods word  be true and remain true, stop living in that lie because Nothing is Against you.

Self Image

Self image is ones perspective of who he or she is.  Knowledge of who they are can either boost confidence or create negative doubts. 
A lot of people today suffer greatly because their perception of who they are is based on people have spoken about them over time or repeatedly.
The perception of yourself goes a long way to affect your relationship and all aspect of your life with others.
My healthy prescription is that love for yourself is important in your journey to building a healthy, positive self image or confidence.  Dwell less on peoples perception about you as this could lead to a toxic path.
